Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council provides bulky item removal services, which is suitable for your furniture disposal needs. You must make an appointment with the town council 3 days in advance. The appointment can be made by filling up a form on their website here.

You’ll have to provide them with the following information, when filling up the form.

  • Your name
  • Your email
  • Your address
  • Your contact number – handphone, and office or residential

You’ll then book an appointment date with them. Lastly, you’ll have to provide the town council with details of your furniture or bulky items, that you want to remove. The whole process of filling up the form shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes, it’s relatively straightforward and simple.

The service is provided free of charge, but it is limited to 3 items per removal per month. If you need to remove more than 3 items, you can make your own private arrangement with their conservancy contractors, to help you remove the additional items at extra charge.

For efficient and faster removal, the town council advises that you place your used furniture and bulky items outside of your flat, before the contractors arrive.

The removal service is only available from Mondays to Fridays (not during public holidays), the contractors will drop by to collect the items between 2pm to 4pm.

Some items that are not eligible for their ‘bulky item removal’ services are renovation debris, example, door, window and frame, built-in cabinet/wardrobe, etc.
